About
Pocket Lap started as a shared spreadsheet between three friends who kept arguing about which racing game had the best drift physics. That argument never really ended, so we turned it into a small site instead. Everything you read here comes from us actually installing a game, playing it for a few evenings, and writing down what stuck.
We focus on games that fit in your pocket: quick arcades, racers, casual pick-up-and-play titles, but we also dig into deeper RPGs and strategy games when they earn the time. The idea is simple — tell you how a game feels in the hand, not how a trailer wants it to feel.
Games get onto the site one way: someone on the team plays them long enough to have an honest opinion. We test on a couple of mid-range Androids and an older iPhone, because that's what most people actually carry, not the newest flagship.
We're independent. Nobody pays us to say nice things, and when a game annoys us, we say so. If we ever change that policy, this paragraph is the first thing that gets rewritten.
